The Central Bank of the United Arab Emirates (CBUAE) left the Base Rate for its Overnight Deposit Facility unchanged at 4.40 percent on 18 June 2025, citing the US Federal Reserve’s decision to keep the Interest on Reserve Balances steady and thereby maintaining an unchanged monetary stance. The Base Rate has been held at 4.40 percent in every policy announcement since at least January 2025. The CBUAE also kept the rate on short-term liquidity borrowing via standing credit facilities at 50 basis points above the Base Rate, preserving the floor for overnight money-market rates and aligning domestic conditions with the Fed-anchored framework.
