The Egypt Financial Regulatory Authority’s Committee for Establishment and Licensing of Companies approved licences for three firms to carry out brokerage in futures contracts derived from securities and financial instruments listed on a futures exchange. The approvals cover Commercial International Securities Brokerage, Mubasher for Securities and Bonds Trading, and Hermes Securities Brokerage. The licences were granted under Financial Regulatory Authority Board Decision No. 7 of 2026, which sets the financial, technical and administrative conditions for conducting futures brokerage activity, including governance and institutional discipline standards. The committee’s mandate is set out in Financial Regulatory Authority Chairman Decision No. 3060 of 2023, under which it authorises the establishment and licensing of entities operating in non-banking financial activities and approves related corporate actions, including amendments to constitutive documents, additions of activities, and branch openings, relocations and closures, as well as liquidation and temporary or voluntary suspension requests.
