The Consumer Confidence Index stood at 123.0, up slightly from 122.9 in March, with readings above 100 indicating optimism. The result was mainly supported by an improvement in the Current Economic Condition Index, which rose to 116.5 from 115.4. The Consumer Expectation Index remained at an optimistic level of 129.6, although it eased from 130.4 in the previous month.
