The European Financial Reporting Advisory Group has extended its survey seeking input from non-EU companies within the scope of the proposed European Sustainability Reporting Standards under Article 40a of the Accounting Directive, known as ESRS-40a. The extension is intended to broaden participation in the cost-benefit analysis of the exposure draft. The survey seeks evidence on the expected costs and benefits of applying the proposed requirements. The analysis will assess effects on reporting companies and potential benefits for EU companies from a more level playing field, informing EFRAG’s final advice to the European Commission.
