The World Federation of Exchanges (WFE) has launched the Emerging & Developing Markets Educational Programme (EDMEP), a new workshop-based initiative aimed at strengthening capital market infrastructure and expertise in frontier, emerging and developing economies. EDMEP offers foundational and advanced capital markets content combining theory, real-world examples and teaching from experts drawn from WFE members and partners, with discussion tailored to the challenges and opportunities of building market infrastructure in emerging and developing markets. The programme targets practitioners, regulators, buy-side and sell-side professionals, government institutions and academics, is open to all participants with discounts and a limited number of complimentary passes for WFE members, and expands the WFE’s education offering alongside its Market Infrastructure Certificate, now in its third year. The first webinar, scheduled for 30 September 2025, will feature speakers from Latinex, Bolsa de Santiago, the WFE, Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing, Borsa Istanbul and the Canadian Securities Exchange.
