The Malta Financial Services Authority, through its Financial Supervisors Academy and in collaboration with the University of Malta, has launched a Master of Science in Financial Regulation and Compliance aimed at strengthening regulatory, governance and compliance expertise across Malta's financial services sector. The programme will begin in October 2026 and is designed to give participants advanced knowledge and practical skills in financial regulation, compliance, governance, risk management, financial crime prevention, sustainable finance and emerging regulatory developments. The MSc builds on the Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Regulation and Compliance introduced in 2024. It is intended for professionals working in financial services, compliance, risk, governance, legal and regulatory roles, as well as graduates seeking to specialise in the field. Delivery will combine academic study with practical industry insights, with a focus on how regulatory frameworks apply within regulated entities. Applications are open, and the first intake is scheduled to start in October 2026.
