The Central Bank of Cuba published an international overview reporting that Brazil’s crude oil production reached a record 4.5 million barrels a day in June, up 19% from 2025 and nearly 4% from May, based on data from Brazil’s National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels. Combined oil and natural gas output reached 5.8 million barrels of oil equivalent a day. Petrobras-led deepwater production accounted for about 87% of total output, with Búzios the largest oil-producing field and Mero the largest gas-producing field. The additional Brazilian supply has helped offset lower Middle Eastern exports after the conflict involving the United States and Iran disrupted shipping through the Strait of Hormuz.
