The Egypt Financial Regulatory Authority has given initial approval for Orient Insurance Egypt to join the FRA Sandbox with a digital project for remote inspection and damage assessment in motor insurance. Developed with EG InsurTech, the pilot is intended to let assessors conduct inspections through a secure mobile video link, guiding customers during the review and replacing the need for an on site visit. The solution will be integrated into the insurer's existing systems so inspection requests, images, video and assessment data can be captured in real time and linked to claims handling, underwriting and policy administration. The authority will supervise live testing of the project, including checks on the efficiency of remote inspections, the accuracy of collected data, customer data protection and compliance with relevant regulatory and technical requirements.
