The Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) and the Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA) announced the second DFSA–HKMA Joint Climate Finance Conference, which will take place on 26 November in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Positioned as the flagship initiative of the DFSA–HKMA partnership to support climate finance in the Middle East and Asia, the conference will be themed “Transforming Tomorrow: Harnessing Green Finance for Sustainability” and will focus on innovation, resilience and cross-border collaboration. The agenda includes a fireside chat between DFSA Chief Executive Mark Steward and HKMA Deputy Chief Executive Darryl Chan on how technological innovation, policy frameworks and cross-sector collaboration can unlock climate finance and catalyse capital flows toward sustainable projects and the transition to net zero. Panel discussions will cover opportunities for greening the Asia–Middle East Corridor and the role of tokenisation in supporting the transition, alongside a session presenting findings from DFSA–HKMA joint research on the role of sustainable debt in scaling up climate finance in emerging markets. The Dubai International Financial Centre Authority and Nasdaq Dubai will serve as strategic partners.
