The Central Bank of Estonia has published its monthly flash estimate of the balance of payments, which is issued for the last month but one, and pointed users to its website for more detailed monthly information. It also confirmed that the balance of payments for the third quarter of 2025 will be published on 10 December 2025. The bank explained that quarterly balance of payments statistics are compiled from a combined system of representative primary data sources, including company surveys, while the monthly flash estimate draws on a much smaller database. The monthly estimate uses as much available information as possible for the reference month, including administrative sources and international payments reports, but is partly subjective and therefore published as an estimate; once the quarterly balance of payments is released, the monthly figures are adjusted accordingly. Statistical releases are published together with statistical data and are presented separately from economic policy releases. The next scheduled publication is the third quarter 2025 balance of payments release on 10 December 2025.
