The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission announced a two-year extension of the effective and compliance dates for rule amendments adopted in August 2024 that would require many types of registered funds to report portfolio-related information more frequently on Form N-PORT to the Commission and the public. Under the revised timetable, the compliance date for larger fund groups moves from November 17, 2025 to November 17, 2027, and the compliance date for smaller fund groups moves from May 18, 2026 to May 18, 2028. The SEC framed the extension as providing time to complete its review of the amendments in accordance with a Presidential Memorandum and to take further actions if appropriate, including proposing amendments to Form N-PORT.
