The Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo has published its February 2025 financial statistics for non-bank financial institutions, covering other financial intermediaries, insurance companies and pension funds, including balance-sheet sizes, key asset allocations and lending flows. Other financial intermediaries reported assets of EUR 665.60 million at end-February, up EUR 7.18 million (1.09%) from the previous month, with loans accounting for 69.68% of total assets. Gross loans stood at EUR 463.81 million (up EUR 7.35 million), with household lending representing 58.93% of total loans, and newly issued loans in February amounting to EUR 44.32 million. Insurance companies’ assets were EUR 340.78 million, broadly unchanged month on month (up EUR 0.01 million), held mainly as balances with commercial banks (47.03%), securities and other assets (26.36%), and reinsurance with participation (15.55%). Pension fund assets reached EUR 3.32 billion, dominated by equity securities (80.00% of assets).
