Brazil Securities Commission (CVM) has released the second edition of its TOP Book on Personal Financial Planning, produced through its Education Advisory Committee in partnership with Planejar (the Brazilian Financial Planning Association). The revised edition updates content on the day-to-day work of financial planning professionals and their role in supporting financial education and long-term saving by Brazilian investors, presenting personal financial planning in an integrated way. The book includes an introduction and seven chapters covering financial management, investments, retirement planning, risk management and insurance, taxation of income and investments, estate succession and integrated financial planning. It also sets out the role of the financial planner, the financial planning process and the CFP® (Certified Financial Planner) certification, and remains a reference publication for CVM’s TOP Teacher Training Programme, which is in its 26th edition (2023–2024) and has trained hundreds of university professors. The publication is part of the wider TOP book series and is available free of charge via the Investor Portal.
