The Central Bank of Nicaragua has enabled a “Complaints Portal” on its institutional website to allow the public to confidentially and securely report natural or legal persons that offer, promote, or provide financial services without the required authorisation. The bank specified that the services it regulates include Financial Technology Payment Services (PSP), Virtual Asset Services (PSAV), Remittance Payment Services (PSPR), and Currency Buying and Selling and Exchange Services (PSCM). Legal entities providing these services must hold the corresponding licence issued by the Central Bank of Nicaragua, and authorised individuals providing PSCM and PSPR services must visibly carry the credential issued by the bank.
