The Central Bank of Uruguay has announced a special exhibition at its Numismatic Museum for the 32nd Heritage Day, centered on the 2026 theme of “Indigenous roots: past, present and future.” The museum and its adjacent exhibition space will display numismatic pieces and artworks reflecting Indigenous cultural expressions and their place in Uruguay’s history. Admission will be free. The exhibition forms part of a nationwide program in which more than 560 heritage sites across 253 localities will open to the public.
