The Central Bank of Uruguay reviewed its cooperation with the Inter-American Development Bank on strengthening financial system capacity, adopting international standards and expanding technical knowledge. The discussion took place during a meeting between central bank President Guillermo Tolosa and Inter-American Development Bank President Ilan Goldfajn. The work forms part of the Inter-American Development Bank Group’s 2026-2030 country strategy for Uruguay. Under this agenda, the central bank, the Ministry of Economy and Finance and the Inter-American Development Bank are jointly pursuing an initiative to develop local capital markets and support conditions for long-term investment.
