The Bank of Mozambique issued a circular setting new required reserve coefficients for reserve bases in national currency and foreign currency, and repealing the previous circular on the same subject. The required reserve coefficient is set at 29.00% for the reserve base in national currency and 29.50% for the reserve base in foreign currency. The circular applies from the required reserve maintenance period starting on 29 January 2025 and revokes Circular No. 02/EMO/2023 of 31 May, along with any conflicting provisions.

The Bank of Mozambique issued a circular establishing new required reserve coefficients of 29.00% for national currency and 29.50% for foreign currency reserve bases. This circular, effective from 29 January 2025, repeals Circular No. 02/EMO/2023 and any conflicting provisions.
