The Angola Capital Markets Commission (CMC) and the General Tax Administration (AGT) held their second technical workshop under an existing cooperation protocol, focusing on property tax and other fiscal topics relevant to financial instruments. The session was positioned as a mechanism for technical development, strategic alignment and the sharing of regulatory and tax best practices. Opening remarks by CMC’s Juceline Paquete highlighted the need to harmonise interpretations, build institutional capacity and develop synergies to support integrity and confidence in the financial system. The programme included contributions from AGT’s structural reform department and presentations on the Angolan tax system and on property tax, including exemptions under the Tax Benefits Code.
