The State Bank of Vietnam hosted a meeting between Deputy Governor Nguyen Ngoc Canh and International Bank for Economic Cooperation (IBEC) Chairman Denis Ivanov and Deputy Chair Alexandra Matveeva, covering IBEC’s 2024 operating results, its 2024–2026 Development Strategy, and reform directions aimed at improving IBEC’s effectiveness as an international financial institution. IBEC reported on its 2024 performance amid unfavourable external conditions and said it is concentrating resources on implementing the 2024–2026 strategy to improve adaptability and establish prerequisites for sustainable development in later phases. Nguyen Ngoc Canh welcomed IBEC’s efforts to stabilise operations and continue supporting member countries, reiterated Vietnam’s role as a reliable IBEC member, and discussed with IBEC leadership further reforms to strengthen competitiveness and better support member countries’ external economic relations.
