The Federal Housing Finance Agency published its seasonally adjusted monthly House Price Index showing U.S. house prices were unchanged in February, while prices increased 1.7% from February 2025 to February 2026. The January monthly change was revised up to 0.2% from 0.1%. Across the nine census divisions, the seasonally adjusted monthly change ranged from -1.1% in the Mountain division to +0.6% in the South Atlantic division. Over 12 months, changes ranged from -0.7% in the Mountain division to +4.2% in the Middle Atlantic division. The next FHFA HPI report is scheduled for May 26, 2026 and will include monthly data through March and quarterly data through the first quarter of 2026.
