The International Association of Deposit Insurers (IADI) announced that its Executive Council has approved the revised Core Principles for Effective Deposit Insurance Systems, with the final document due to be presented at the 2025 Annual General Meeting in Lisbon. The update also highlighted member priorities and publications, including the Interbank Deposit Protection Fund’s (FITD) Strategic Guidelines 2025–2027, which focus on innovation and efficiency through projects aimed at supporting financial sector stability, anticipating regulatory change and raising public awareness, improving decision-making and operations, and strengthening stakeholder relationships. IADI also flagged annual reports from Uruguay’s COPAB, Poland’s Bank Guarantee Fund (including a 2024 profit exceeding PLN 1.3 billion and a new ESG section, alongside work on a depositor-centred 2025–2030 strategy), and Malaysia’s Perbadanan Insurans Deposit Malaysia (PIDM). Next milestones on IADI’s calendar include digitalisation webinars on the Digital Brazilian Real (Drex) and the DLT Drex platform (22 September 2025) and on public information disclosure and stablecoin runs (16 October 2025), as well as the Europe Regional Committee Conference (25–26 September 2025), the IADI-Financial Stability Institute Policy Implementation Meeting (13–14 October 2025), and the 24th IADI Annual Conference and AGM (24–28 November 2025).
