The Global Legal Entity Identifier Foundation (GLEIF) has approved TradeGo Pte. Ltd. as a Qualified vLEI Issuer (QVI), authorising it to issue cryptographically verifiable organisational identities within the vLEI ecosystem. The designation supports TradeGo’s use of vLEI credentials across its blockchain-based platform for cross-border commodity trading, shipping and payments. TradeGo is integrating vLEI credentials into services including electronic bills of lading, digital payments and electronic contracts. GLEIF linked the move to fraud reduction, compliance efficiency and alignment with trade digitalisation laws in Singapore and the UK, and noted early indications of cost and efficiency gains as TradeGo pursues its GIFTS initiative to build a global digital trade network.
