The National Bank of the Republic of Tajikistan reported that its Chairman, Firdavs Tolibzoda, met Swiss National Bank Chairman Martin Schlegel in Washington to discuss deepening bilateral central bank cooperation, including in monetary policy, financial stability, risk management and staff capacity building. The meeting reviewed more than 25 years of cooperation and past technical assistance supported by the Swiss National Bank, including work on international reserve management, monetary and credit policy, and risk management. Discussions also covered opening correspondent accounts, expanding financial transactions and international payments, strengthening trade and investment cooperation, developing green finance, and improving resilience to climate-related risks, with experience sharing, expert consultations and training programmes highlighted as key channels. Both sides indicated that the relationship between the two central banks would continue at a high level on the basis of mutual interests.
