Indonesia's Financial Services Authority installed Triyoga Laksito as head of its North Sumatra office, replacing Khoirul Muttaqien, who will take another assignment within the authority. The leadership change is intended to strengthen regional supervision, consumer protection and financial-sector development as the authority implements its expanded mandate under the Financial Sector Development and Strengthening Law. The authority also marked completion of the main structure of its new seven-story North Sumatra office. The green building, its seventh office developed from a vacant site, is expected to support closer coordination with local government and industry, improve public services and financial education, and strengthen consumer protection. Regional priorities include expanding financial access, supporting small businesses, farmers and disaster-affected communities, and developing Islamic finance.
