The China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission convened a 2025 work meeting on comprehensive Party self-governance and a dedicated warning-education session, reviewing its 2024 discipline and integrity work and setting out 2025 priorities for supervision, cadre management, work style and anti-corruption across the regulator’s system. The meeting reviewed 2024 actions including cooperation with the third round of the 20th Central Committee’s inspections and related rectification, Party discipline study and education, implementation of the central eight-point rules on conduct, and efforts to curb formalism and reduce基层-level burden. For 2025, it called for tightening responsibilities for Party governance under the regulator’s “four-level vertical management” structure, strengthening oversight and discipline enforcement, building a “Four New” project to shape a new regulatory culture, and pursuing financial anti-corruption through joint investigation and remediation of misconduct and corruption while continuing strict enforcement against “four undesirable work styles”; the session also circulated recent typical cases of disciplinary and legal violations to reinforce warning education.
