The National Bank of Georgia announced that Governor Natia Turnava will participate in SWIFT’s SIBOS conference and deliver the keynote address at the regulators’ panel “The View from the Top”, addressing challenges for the financial sector amid global economic fragmentation and the role of central banks in advancing financial services. She will also share the National Bank of Georgia’s experience in promoting financial innovation and regional cooperation initiatives. The conference agenda covers payments, securities, fintech, financial inclusion, cybersecurity and the fight against financial crime. Alongside SIBOS, the Georgian delegation will visit the Frankfurt Stock Exchange and meet Deutsche Börse Group to discuss prospects for future cooperation, and will hold meetings with international financial institutions, commercial banks and companies including SWIFT, Murex, Nasdaq Calypso, the President of China’s Cross-Border Interbank Payment System (CIPS) and representatives of China Construction Bank. The delegation includes Alexander Khazaradze, Head of the Financial Markets Department, and Natalia Chkhoidze, Head of the Payment Systems Department.
