The National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic announced that it co-organized the latest meeting in Bishkek of the Coordination Committee for the Regional Capacity Development Center for the Caucasus, Central Asia and Mongolia. The meeting brought together representatives of the International Monetary Fund, member states and development partners to review the center's results and discuss priority areas for supporting member countries through technical assistance and training aligned with regional needs and new challenges. Kyrgyz Republic holds the committee chairmanship in 2026. The program also included a high-level discussion on the center's strategic priorities with participation from the Deputy Director of the IMF's Middle East and Central Asia Department. The center is a joint project of the IMF, nine member countries and development partners.
