The Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City published its January Manufacturing Survey, indicating that manufacturing activity in the Tenth District continued to decline at a steady pace, while expectations for future activity remained positive. The release noted that regional factory activity contracted modestly in January, capital expenditures were unchanged from the same time last year, and firms expected increases in activity over the next six months. The survey also incorporated new seasonal adjustment factors using Census X-13 ARIMA-SEATS, meaning historical indexes differ slightly from previously released figures, with the new seasonal factors to be used throughout 2025.
