The Securities and Exchange Regulator of Cambodia attended the Cambodia-ASEAN Business Summit in Phnom Penh, with Director General Sou Socheat participating as a panelist in a session on trade and investment. In his remarks, he underlined the role of the securities sector in attracting domestic and international investors to support Cambodia’s economic growth, including its Vision 2030 objectives. The summit ran under the theme “Accelerating ASEAN Connectivity: People, Infrastructure, and Trade”, was co-organised by the Cambodian Chamber of Commerce, the ASEAN-Cambodia Business Advisory Council and the International Chamber of Commerce in Cambodia, and was positioned as a forum to encourage foreign investment into Cambodia. It was attended by government ministry management, cross-sector institutional experts, major international companies from Cambodia and ASEAN, and the Secretary General of the ASEAN General Secretariat.
