The discussion covered the need for guidance, training and institutional support mechanisms to help companies meet their obligations and mitigate operational risks. The UIF also linked greater regulatory clarity and a stronger preventive culture to increased legal certainty and protection of the financial system’s integrity, and signalled it will continue engaging with representative bodies to provide tools, guidance and best practices to strengthen compliance and confidence in economic activity.
