The ADGM Financial Services Regulatory Authority has issued an alert on Veyron Markets, a purported entity operating through the website veyronmarkets.com, warning of a suspected fraudulent scheme and false or misleading claims about an association with ADGM. The regulator said those claims could mislead investors and the public into believing the firm is licensed and authorised to operate in ADGM when it is not. The authority said Veyron Markets is not, and has never been, granted Financial Services Permission to carry on any Regulated Activity in or from ADGM. It also said the entity is not, and has never been, incorporated in ADGM or licensed to undertake any commercial activities there. The regulator advised investors and market participants to verify a firm's status before dealing with it, using the FSRA Public Register for authorised firms and the ADGM Registration Authority's Public Register for incorporation or registration checks.
