The Central Bank of Estonia has released its monthly flash estimate of the balance of payments for January, indicating that exports of goods and services grew faster than imports. The flash estimate is published each month for the last month but one and is based on a smaller database than the quarterly balance of payments. While it uses as much available information as possible, including administrative data sources and international payments reporting, the result is presented as an estimate and is subsequently adjusted once the quarterly balance of payments compiled from a broader set of representative primary data sources, including company surveys, is released. The Central Bank of Estonia will publish the balance of payments for the first quarter of 2026 on 8 June 2026.
