The Kuwait Capital Markets Authority announced that its Capital Markets Academy has signed a memorandum of understanding with Harvard University’s Program on International Financial Systems (PIFS), establishing a framework for cooperation on training and research and the development of specialised executive education programmes aimed at financial and professional regulators. The MoU was signed by the Academy’s Director General, Abdulaziz Al-Rashid Al-Bader, and a representative of PIFS. The arrangement aligns with the Authority’s stated objective of raising the capabilities of capital markets participants in Kuwait by upgrading the Academy’s training offer through partnerships with leading universities, updated curricula, and the use of international methods and research. The Academy and PIFS indicated that a series of regulator-focused executive education programmes will be launched in the future, with PIFS also highlighting its broader executive education and seminar activities, including ad hoc programmes in the Gulf region and Cambridge-based training delivered in collaboration with Harvard Law School.
