The Central Bank of Montenegro (CBCG) published a readout of Governor Irena Radovic’s meeting with Centre of Excellence in Finance (CEF) Director Jana Repanšek, focused on priorities for future cooperation as Montenegro advances its European Union accession process and the CBCG intensifies alignment with European central banking standards. The discussion reviewed the CBCG’s participation in CEF programmes and positioned continued cooperation as a means to strengthen the central bank’s professional and institutional capacity through ongoing knowledge exchange, experience sharing and international best practices. The CBCG also linked its cooperation agenda to an intended institutional transformation under the Needs Assessment project, aimed at improving organisational structure, processes and working methods to support institutional and operational readiness for European integration. The meeting also covered the forthcoming CEF Governing Board meeting and the CEF Forum in Skopje, framed as venues for regional institutions to exchange views on current challenges and future development prospects.
