The Egypt Financial Regulatory Authority, in cooperation with Egypt’s Ministry of Youth and Sports, announced the launch of the “Y-Champions” competition, delivered through the social media channels of the FRA’s iInvest financial awareness platform. The initiative seeks to engage young people in producing awareness content that promotes safe participation in non-banking financial activities and strengthens awareness of financial fraud and how to prevent it. The competition includes symbolic prizes for standout participants and is framed as part of the National Strategy for Non-banking Financial Awareness and Culture (2022–2026), implemented through the FRA’s central function for financial awareness and culture and the ministry’s youth empowerment function. In the same context, the FRA referenced recent consumer protection steps including publishing a negative list of entities and pages carrying out non-banking financial activities in breach of applicable laws, publishing a list of FRA-licensed entities and companies, and establishing an email-based channel for citizens to report unlicensed entities soliciting investment, financing, or insurance. Submissions are to be made via the competition link on the iInvest website, with entries assessed by a specialised judging committee and winners to be announced once evaluations are completed.
