The Bank of Namibia announced with the Alliance for Financial Inclusion that they will co-host the 2025 AFI Global Policy Forum in Namibia in September 2025. The forum will bring together policymakers, regulators, technology innovators and other international stakeholders to discuss financial inclusion strategies and related policy implementation. The event is expected to attract more than 700 delegates and will include high-level discussions and peer learning on approaches that could be adopted globally. It will also provide a platform for Namibia to showcase its financial inclusion record, including policy innovations, targeted frameworks and small and medium enterprise financing strategies that have expanded access to financial services for individuals and micro, small and medium enterprises. Further details on the forum are to be provided in later updates.
