The Arab Monetary Fund’s Training and Capacity Building Institute ran a series of specialised training programmes, courses and workshops in October 2025, drawing 265 trainees from across Arab countries. The programmes focused on strengthening professional capabilities in macroeconomics, investment, risk management, international trade, public finance and modern statistical techniques. Covered topics included advanced due diligence in investment operations, public revenue forecasting, public debt management and local capital market development, global trends in international trade, balance of payments analysis and exchange rate policy, supply and use tables and input output tables, the use of emerging data and modern technologies in macroeconomic statistics, financial risk management, macroeconomic policies and forecasting, and regulatory frameworks for financial innovation. Advanced programmes were delivered with international partners including the World Bank, the World Trade Organization and the IMF Middle East Center for Economics and Finance, alongside collaborations with regional and global central banks and financial institutions, using virtual, in person and hybrid formats.
