The Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan announced that it has joined the International Financial Consumer Protection Organisation (FinCoNet) as a full member, expanding its international engagement on financial consumer protection and market conduct regulation. As part of the membership, the central bank gains the right to participate in FinCoNet working groups covering responsible lending, consumer protection in digital financial services, market conduct supervision and risk assessment. It will also be able to contribute to the development of internationally recognised policy documents and access FinCoNet’s existing policy and research resources, including by participating in setting the organisation’s agenda and priority areas.
