The Norwegian Financial Supervisory Authority (Finanstilsynet) issued a warning that Saptrust Bank, instant Bank, banksured Bank and WATTPROSAVER Bank, operating via saptrustgroup.web.app, instantbanking.web.app, banksured.firebaseapp.com and wattprosaver.com, are not genuine entities and are most likely set up to defraud consumers. The websites appear to offer payment services and lending or financing activity that requires authorisation in Norway. Finanstilsynet stated that none of the entities has the necessary licence to carry out such regulated business. The websites do not identify the company behind them, do not provide an organisation number and list little contact information beyond generic email addresses, and they claim Norwegian addresses that do not exist in the Norwegian Mapping Authority’s records; there is also no indication that the businesses are registered in the Central Coordinating Register for Legal Entities or the Register of Business Enterprises. The authority also reiterated that it publishes market warnings when it becomes aware of unlicensed firms offering investment services in Norway, and encouraged consumers to check its market warning register before accepting unsolicited offers such as shares, fund units, CFDs or other investments.
