The National Bank of Moldova reported that governor Anca Dragu attended Romania’s Excellence Gala “Together We Protect Romania” and presented three excellence awards, recognising contributions spanning economic policy dialogue, public health education, and energy-sector development. Awards went to Cosmin Marinescu, deputy governor of the National Bank of Romania, for promoting responsible economic dialogue and for initiating and coordinating the Economic@BNR information and debate platform; to Alina Epure, PhD in medical sciences, for prevention and information programmes supporting children’s and adolescents’ health and education in Romania and Moldova; and to Claudia Griech, chief executive of E.ON Furnizare Energie Electrică şi Gaze Naturale România, serving around three million customers, for contributions to developing a modern energy sector. The release also noted that at the 2025 edition of the gala Dragu received an excellence award recognising efforts to align the National Bank of Moldova with European standards.
