The Argentina Securities Commission (CNV) president, Roberto E. Silva, spoke at the Latin American Bitcoin & Blockchain Conference (LABITCONF) and reviewed the CNV’s recent regulatory work on asset tokenisation and the regulation of PSAVs. Speaking on a panel on “CNV regulation and the first Argentine tokenisations” alongside industry participants, Silva said the CNV began developing a framework for PSAV regulation less than two years ago and has since issued rules he characterised as pioneering for both PSAVs and tokenisation. He also framed the agenda as aimed at modernising capital markets while maintaining a balance between innovation and investor protection.
