The Oman Financial Services Authority participated in the 20th Annual Meeting of the Union of Arab Securities Authorities, held by video conference under the leadership of the Tunisian Financial Market Authority. The meeting focused on the union’s forward agenda, including updates to its Articles of Association, its 2026 to 2030 strategic plan and the 2025 annual report ahead of final issuance. Discussions also covered measures aimed at developing Arab capital markets, including guidelines on cross-border financial activities and capital flows, best practices for market risk management and a proposed cybersecurity guideline to strengthen regulators’ readiness for technological risks. The meeting also saw the launch of the Smart Investor Guide and reviewed the Self-Learning Initiative, which is intended to provide digital educational and training content for financial sector professionals and investors. In addition, the Tunisian Financial Market Authority approved the union’s financial performance and adopted the 2026 training plan, which is designed to strengthen the technical and regulatory capabilities of staff at Arab securities authorities through specialised programmes aligned with international developments.
