The Securities Commission Malaysia has launched an outreach campaign to promote the New Industrial Master Plan 2030 Strategic Co-Investment Fund (NIMP CoSIF), starting with an inaugural roadshow in Penang aimed at Penang-based small and medium enterprises and mid-tier companies, particularly those involved in manufacturing innovation. NIMP CoSIF, launched in February 2025 by the Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry and the Securities Commission Malaysia, is a public-private co-investment scheme that enables the Government to co-invest alongside private investors in businesses across 21 target sectors under the New Industrial Master Plan 2030. It has an initial allocation of MYR 131.5 million and is structured as a blended financing instrument using equity crowdfunding and peer-to-peer financing, with the Penang roadshow featuring sessions on capital market funding options for smaller businesses. Further outreach programmes are planned, with additional roadshows scheduled in Kuala Lumpur and Johor by the end of 2025.
