South Africa’s National Treasury, together with the Financial Sector Conduct Authority and the National Consumer Financial Education Committee, has opened participation for Money Smart Week South Africa 2026, scheduled for 24 to 30 August 2026 under the theme “Money Smart: The Power of Possible”. The campaign is positioned as a national collaborative platform to promote financial literacy and consumer awareness. Participation is open to a wide range of stakeholders, including academic institutions, employers, government departments, regulators, financial service providers, non-profit organisations, media organisations, individuals, and influencers. Participants are encouraged to plan and host their own financial education activities during the week, including in-person workshops, community activations and exhibitions, webinars and digital learning content, and broadcast or social media campaigns. An information session is scheduled for 17 April 2026 to share key information on the 2026 campaign and insights from the Money Smart Week South Africa 2025 Monitoring and Evaluation Report, with further details to be communicated.

South Africa’s National Treasury, the Financial Sector Conduct Authority and the National Consumer Financial Education Committee have opened participation for Money Smart Week South Africa 2026, a national financial literacy campaign from 24 to 30 August 2026 under the theme “Money Smart: The Power of Possible”. Stakeholders are invited to host financial education activities, and an information session on 17 April 2026 will outline the 2026 campaign and insights from the 2025 Monitoring and Evaluation Report.
