The Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority (Finansinspektionen, FI) announced that its innovation centre will attend Stockholm Fintech Week on 11–12 February with around a dozen senior experts to explain FI’s supervisory remit, answer questions and provide guidance to firms. Experts will rotate through FI’s booth in two-hour slots. Day one will cover banking (including mortgage and consumer credit frameworks), anti-money laundering rules, and regulation of securities trading and crowdfunding services. Day two will cover supervision of payment services and crypto-assets, insurance supervision, and the new Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA) framework. FI noted that the same type of guidance is available through the innovation centre outside the event, and also flagged participation by FI representatives in sessions on open financial services and on AI use in the Swedish financial sector.
