The Luxembourg Ministry of Finance, Ministry of the Economy, National Credit and Investment Institution and European Investment Fund have launched the third Luxembourg Future Fund. The EUR 270 million fund of funds, comprising EUR 180 million from the National Credit and Investment Institution and EUR 90 million from the European Investment Fund, will invest through venture capital, private equity and private debt funds to expand financing for startups, scaleups and small and medium-sized enterprises. The program will target specialized and multisector funds covering areas including cybertech, deeptech, fintech, healthtech, proptech, spacetech, green and clean technologies, and transport. It will primarily support Luxembourg-based investment funds whose teams are already located wholly or partly in the country or commit to establishing a presence there. In a change from the first two programs, the National Credit and Investment Institution will participate directly in investment decisions and invest in its own name, while continuing to draw on the European Investment Fund's expertise.
