The Bank of Tanzania has published the government securities issuance calendar for the first quarter of the 2026/27 financial year, setting out planned auctions of Treasury bills and Treasury bonds on behalf of the Government of the United Republic of Tanzania. The program covers Treasury bills with 35, 91, 182 and 364 day maturities, and Treasury bonds with 2 year, 5 year, 10 year, 15 year, 20 year and 25 year maturities. The calendar schedules auctions from 2 July 2026 to 30 September 2026. Treasury bill auctions are marked as new issues on 2 July, 15 July, 12 August, 26 August, 9 September and 23 September, while bond auctions include a 20 year reopening on 8 July, new 10 year and 2 year issues on 22 July and 29 July, a 25 year reopening on 5 August, a 15 year reopening on 19 August, a 10 year reopening on 2 September, a 5 year reopening on 16 September and a 15 year reopening on 30 September. Auctions will be conducted in the listed order unless otherwise specified, and coupon rates for Treasury bonds will be set out in the relevant calls for tender. The notice also states that the government may amend the issuance calendar in line with borrowing requirements and market conditions.
