Sweden’s Riksbank announced it will participate, alongside Sweden’s Ministry of Finance, in the G20 Finance Track in 2025 after Sweden was invited as a guest country by South Africa’s G20 presidency. The finance track brings together finance ministers and central bank governors to discuss key economic and political issues. Governor Erik Thedéen and First Deputy Governor Anna Breman are set to attend the first ministerial and governors’ meeting in Cape Town on 24-27 February, together with Sweden’s Minister for Finance Elisabeth Svantesson. South Africa’s presidency will hold four ministerial and governors’ level meetings during the year.
