The Angola Capital Markets Commission announced it will hold a Capital Markets Conference on 28 March 2025 to mark its 20th anniversary, bringing together domestic and international stakeholders for discussions on regulation, innovation and sustainability in the capital markets. The conference will take place from 08:00 at the Hotel Intercontinental and is positioned as a forum to highlight CMC actions that have supported consolidation of Angola’s capital market, including development of the legal and regulatory framework, activation of market segments and attraction of new participants. Participants are expected to include Angola’s Secretary of State for Finance and Treasury Ottoniel Santos, representatives of the Angola Debt and Securities Exchange (BODIVA), Portugal’s Securities Market Commission (CMVM), and representatives from Uganda’s financial sector, with the agenda structured around panel discussions and testimonials.
