In a note on its participation in AI Week in Milan on May 19 and 20, the Central Bank of San Marino said the event formed part of its ongoing adoption of artificial intelligence in its processes. The bank linked that work to uses including data analysis, predictive models for supervision, more efficient operations and stronger protection against cyber threats. The delegation, led by the Director General and colleagues from the technical table dedicated to artificial intelligence, took part in panels and speeches covering the impact of the AI Act, software and hardware options for data sovereignty, business process redesign, implications for complex organisations such as financial institutions, and staff training tools to support digital transformation. The event also provided an opportunity to engage with institutions, companies and startups in the sector, expand knowledge and strengthen relationships with technology and finance counterparties.
